AV-Cables builds custom multi-channel CAT6 snake cables with individually identified Ethernet runs inside protective braided sleeving. One end can have evenly aligned breakouts for a switch or patch location; the other can have staggered leads to reach racks, stage boxes, cameras, control equipment, or ports spread across a work area. Each channel is its own point-to-point CAT6 cable, not a splitter.
Built Around Your Equipment Layout
Tell us the distance from the sleeve exit to each connector. For example, a four-channel staggered end could have leads of 2 ft, 4 ft, 6 ft, and 8 ft, while the opposite end has four equal leads. Those dimensions are illustrative: the number of channels, individual lead lengths, and spacing can be customized. We will confirm the measurement points and full end-to-end lengths before quoting.
Choose Your Configuration
- Channel count: Specify the number of independent CAT6 runs; common snake configurations include 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, and 12 channels.
- Trunk length: State the sleeved section length from sleeve exit to sleeve exit.
- Staggered end: Give the length of each numbered lead from sleeve exit to its connector.
- Even end: Give the common breakout length for all leads on the opposite end.
- Connectors: Request RJ45 or compatible locking EtherCON-style ends as needed; specify the connector on each end.
- Identification: Request matching channel labels on both ends and any special labeling instructions.

Please review channel count, trunk length, every breakout length, connector types, and labels before approving the build. If an assembly arrives damaged or does not match the approved specifications, contact AV-Cables so we can resolve the issue under our applicable warranty and order policies.
