Why Use Dedicated DMX Cable?

DMX512 is a digital lighting-control protocol used to transmit control information between lighting consoles, controllers, fixtures, dimmers, splitters and other compatible equipment.

DMX Cable Is Not Microphone Cable

Although some DMX and microphone cables use similar-looking XLR connectors, they are designed for different applications. DMX carries digital lighting-control data. Dedicated DMX cable is designed for reliable data transmission, particularly on longer runs and professional lighting systems.
