Should I buy a 6G-SDI or 12G-SDI cable?Choose a cable rated for the highest SDI format your equipment uses. For single-link 4K UHD systems, select a 12G-SDI cable. For HD, 3G-SDI and 6G-SDI equipment, choose from the 6G cable family.
Why does cable size matter?Smaller coax is easier to route and reduces weight, while larger coax generally provides lower signal loss and supports longer transmission distances.
Are SDI cables backward compatible?Higher-rated professional SDI cables can carry compatible lower-data-rate SDI formats, subject to the equipment, connectors and complete signal path.
Can AV-Cables build custom lengths?Yes. Standard and custom lengths, colors, connector configurations, cable sets and multi-channel assemblies are available.
