What Is a DIN 1.0/2.3 Connector?

DIN 1.0/2.3 is a compact professional coaxial connector commonly used on broadcast cameras, video routers, multiviewers, monitors, converters and high-density patching equipment. Its small footprint lets manufacturers place more SDI ports into limited panel space while maintaining the 75-ohm signal path required by professional video systems.

DIN 1.0/2.3 Is Not the Same as HD-BNC

DIN 1.0/2.3 and HD-BNC connectors are both compact, but they use different physical designs and are not directly interchangeable. Standard BNC is also different. Confirm the connector type and gender on both pieces of equipment before ordering.

Which Connector Configuration Do You Need?

DIN to DIN Both devices have compatible female DIN 1.0/2.3 video ports.
BNC to DIN One device uses a standard female BNC port and the other uses DIN 1.0/2.3.

HD-BNC to DIN One device uses HD-BNC and the other uses DIN 1.0/2.3.
